Partnership Network International (PNI), après l'organisation de consultations nationales, a soumis 5 rapports pour l‘Examen Périodique Universel (EPU) (2 soumissions individuelles et 3 soumissions conjointes avec de larges Coalitions) sur les droits de l’homme, le développement durable et l’environnement d’Egypte et de Madagascar.

Nous avons pu ainsi présenter nos recommandations aux différentes Ambassades et Consulats représentés à Madagascar.

UNIVERSAL PERIODIC REVIEW (UPR) - Session 34
Madagascar & Egypt - November 11 & 13 2019 - Nations Palace/Geneva
Partnership Network International (PNI), following the organization of two national consultations, submitted 5 Universal Periodic Review (UPR) reports (2 individual submissions and 3 joint submissions with broad Coalitions on the human rights) about Human rights, Sustainable development and Environment of Egypt and Madagascar.
You can find them below as well as a summary of the Remarks and Recommendations that we wish to suggest to the diplomats in Geneva, New York, Antananarivo & Cairo as well as to the Foreign affairs Ministries of the capitals of UN member countries for the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Madagascar as well as the Advanced questions you could ask to Madagascar government. In addition, having been selected as speaker, representative of Partnership Network International (PNI) for the pre-session UPR of Madagascar, we seized the opportunity to hold an International Forum in Antananarivo on October 2, 2019. We presented our recommendations to the various Embassies and Consulates represented in Madagascar. We co-organized this event with the collaboration of Tafo Mihaavo, the Malagasy Coalition and the help of the German Cooperation (GIZ). Representatives of civil society, embassies and consulates, international organizations and the Malagasy government were gathered to prepare and monitor the UPR of Madagascar to be held in Geneva on November 11, 2019.
In addition, please find above our oral statement delivered in Geneva on Tuesday, 8 October 2019 at the Palais des Nations, Room XXII and the Power Point Presentation (PPP).

Finally, Partnership Network International (PNI), receiving national delegations, like to co-organize two Side-events around the two UPRs of Madagascar and Egypt (11 and 13 November 2019) at the Palais des Nations / Geneva on the following themes: "Land insecurity, degradation Livelihoods and the Environment: What Ways to Develop Protection for the Most Vulnerable Populations? "and" How to Follow in the Country the Implementation of Recommendations accepted by the State at the UPR of the 34th session ? "

This event followed the expropriation of the Fokonolona community in early September 2018 on Sakatia Island (Nosy Be).

It has been co-organized and funded by :

Madagascar representing 1,250,000 people from Malagasys local communities),

- The Federal Ministry for the Environment, nature conservation and Nuclear safety based on decision the German
